Sunday, March 11, 2012 9 am – 3 pm
Turner Hall, 102 S State Street, New Ulm, MN
Welcome
I want to personally invite you all to this year’s New Ulm Trade Fair and Living History Event. I expect another good year with continued advertising and website development. The events website at www.NewUlmTradeFair.com will have all of the latest information and current table assignments and availability.
Tables will again be available both upstairs and downstairs. I would not anticipate any significant changes in table assignments this year. There are some big changes going on with the building so there might be some minor adjustments work around those changes. The biggest change is the addition of an elevator and reconstruction of a main entrance.
As in the past there will be limited edition collector medallions available for sale. This medallion will be required for anyone that enters the trading areas during the “non-public hours”. This includes the upstairs bar and any other areas set up as “non-public” by Turner Hall. I will also have limited edition coffee mugs available for $12.00. These mugs will feature the New Ulm Trade Fair Logo. Production will be limited to advanced orders plus a very limited supply at the show. If you want one please place your order now.
Please be sure to read the entire rules and regulations section carefully as there are a few minor rule changes. Period dress and pre-1840 items on the trade tables will be strictly enforced.
Traders may stay at their tables Friday and Saturday night. Please limit the number at each table to 2 people. “Lights out” in these areas will be 10:00 pm.
For those interested there will be a space set up for a potluck supper on Friday evening. Turner hall will have a basic dish for sale (probably Chili) to start as a basis for this supper. The rest of the dishes will be solely up to those who want to bring food to pass. I know it has been a great tradition so I hope some of you will continue to bring a dish for this function. If you wish to participate I ask that you bring a dish to share!
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.
